In August 2011, the then Council of Australian Governments (now National Cabinet) agreed to major changes in how public hospitals were to be funded by Commonwealth, State and Territory governments, including the move from block grants to an ‘activity-based’ funding system (ABF).

The National Health Funding Body is committed to the effective management of risks and promoting a positive risk culture throughout the organisation. The APS Employee Census is conducted annually and collects information on attitudes and opinions of APS employees on issues in the workplace. This highlights report presents results for the National Health Funding Body.

Clause B102 of the National Health Reform Agreement requires the Administrator to publish details of Commonwealth, State and Territory compliance with the data requirements specified in the Administrator's Data Plan.

This Annual Report provides an overview of the role and work of the Administrator during 2024-25 and provides both the combined and individual State and Territory Pool Accounts for 2024-25.

This report should be read in conjunction with the National Health Funding Body Annual Report 2024-25.
