The National Health Funding Body is wholly committed to upholding the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework to ensure children are safe in all circumstances.

In August 2011, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) agreed to major changes in how public hospitals were to be funded by Commonwealth, State and Territory governments, including the move from block grants to an ‘activity-based’ funding system (ABF). 

The NHFB Corporate Plan 2024-25 sets our direction for the next four years and covers the activities we will undertake to achieve our purpose.

Clause B102 of the National Health Reform Agreement requires the Administrator to publish details of Commonwealth, State and Territory compliance with the data requirements specified in the Administrator's Data Plan.

To comply with section 15(3) of the Public Service Act 1999 (the Act), the National Health Funding Body (NHFB) has established procedures for determining whether a current, or former, NHFB employee has breached the Australian Public Service (APS) Code of Conduct. We have also established procedures for determining sanctions.
